Stallion: SHANGRILA’S BOLERO
May 9, 2006 Bred by Shangrila Farm IALHA Reg. No. 10457(P) |
|
Offered: $45,000 firm |
| |
|
|
Introducing Bolero, one of our best stallions and offered for
sale with deep regret. Standing already at 16.2 hands and still
growing, he has the promise to be an outstanding Sport Horse or top
breeding stallion for the future.
It is an opportunity to
acquire a rare, superior genetic improver for your breeding program.
Bolero brings the exceptional, highly demanded blood of some of
the most successful stallions of the Lusitano breed.
Bolero is from the same line that produced Novilheiro
the champion international show jumper, former mount of John Whitaker’
Neptuno and Opus, the great bullfighters, and Orphee
the French dressage horse by Emir who took Catherine Durant to the
Olympics. On his Dam’s
side, Bolero has world famous Portuguese bloodlines of the
Firme legacy, Minuto, and Manuel Veiga’s personal
mount
Nilo.
The dam’s sire Zico was the foundation
stallion for the Cortijo Las Morerias, Best Breeder Awards in
Mexico
and the
United States.
Pictures and mention of these horses are in the
book Veiga Horses by Alberto Tavares Barreto.
Bolero is a wonderful combination of the best of the
Veiga and the Andrade bloodlines.
Bolero
was born on our farm and has been handled since birth with respect and
kindness. He is under saddle
and has a sound walk-trot-canter and showing an inclination to jump.
Balance, strength and good movement united with his powerful physical
makes him very special. His
personality demonstrates that he is gentle.
Like the Magical Horse, he searches to integrate himself to the
rider and transmits a sensation of security. |
